This two-story class A office building consists of a steel structure, wrapped with a combination of brick, stone and concrete. It features a glass curtain wall across the entire east side of the building and well-appointed interior finishes.
This was a complex, problematic project that was estimated by another builder in the Kansas City area at 30% over budget. Signa Development, the developer from Omaha, approached Darland to assist in redesigning and value-engineering the costs to within budget. After getting the project back in budget, the parties executed a contract within an extremely aggressive schedule.
Darland, along with the rest of the team, was able to get the tenant into the building in time to avoid a large holdover penalty in their former lease.
