The Thomsen Mile is a single-story retail shopping center located on the northwest corner of 168th and West Maple Road in Omaha. Darland was hired on a negotiated contract as the general contractor by Thomsen Mile Shoppes LLC. The shell is constructed of split-face, load-bearing masonry walls with store front windows. Architects opted for a mansard roof, which in addition to aligning with the design, served the practical purpose of hiding the building’s rooftop units. Darland completed a landlord white box finish for each of the shopping center's six bays.
