Darland has partnered with Nelson Mandela Elementary to build an early childhood center adjacent to the existing K-4 school near 30th and Curtis Streets in North Omaha. The nearly 12,000-square-foot building will include six classrooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, a warming kitchen and various staff offices. Construction is moving forward and the center is expected to open in January 2019.
