About the Project
Darland completed the CHI Health Millard Clinic near 153rd and Q Streets in Omaha. The more than 38,000-square-foot clinic was patterned after a prototype first constructed by Darland in Council Bluffs (CHI Health Valley View).
The new clinic features 56 exam rooms, focusing on primary care with specialties including radiology, dermatology, women’s health, diabetic care, and physical therapy. Designed to provide convenience of a one-stop outpatient experience, the new facility more than doubles the size of the former CHI Millard Clinic.
Darland delivered the project under budget and ahead of schedule. “Since this was our second project using this prototype, we were able to incorporate design changes early on and maximize constructability,” said Darland Project Manager, Ben Knapp. Darland used Building Information Technology to virtually eliminate design conflicts and ensure a smooth overhead rough-in.
