Miller Park Pavilion

First United Methodist Church

About the Project

Darland completed a significant renovation of the historic Miller Park Pavilion, a beloved landmark in North Omaha. The project involved a comprehensive restoration of the existing structure, coupled with a modern addition that enhances the facility’s functionality and accessibility.

Located within an 80-acre park, the pavilion offers stunning views of the lagoon and golf course. The renovation project aimed to preserve the building’s historic character while incorporating modern amenities. The 2,500-square-foot addition features a contemporary interior design, creating a welcoming space for community events and gatherings. The project included upgrades to the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as adding a 2,500-square-foot addition. The renovation was designed to maintain the historic integrity of the residence while enhancing its functionality and comfort.  A full remodel of the private residence located atop the Community Center was also included in the project.

The renovated pavilion now serves as a versatile space for a variety of events and activities, contributing to the ongoing revitalization of North Omaha. “Great cities have great parks. Miller Park is a great park thanks to our public-private partnerships,” said Omaha Mayor Stothert.
