Darland  was named one of Nebraska’s Safest Companies 2018 by the National Safety Council, Nebraska Chapter in recognition strong safety programming and a positive safety culture. 

Organizations recognized as being among "Nebraska's Safest Companies" must demonstrate their commitment to safety excellence through documentation of their safety programs, including OSHA logs of work-related injuries and illnesses, explanations of program strengths, proactive steps taken and what sets their safety program apart from others. This information is compared against industry averages, DART ratings and other data by a committee of experienced safety professionals representing numerous industries.
